"The company has signed on October 11, 2013 Unified License with the Department of Telecommunications, in respect of its seven service areas namely Tamil Nadu, Orissa, West Bengal, Kolkata, Assam, North East and Jammu & Kashmir," Idea said in a filing to the BSE.
The operative licences of these service areas were among the overall 122 licences of various companies quashed by the Supreme Court in its February 2, 2012 order in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
"The company thereafter bid and won the spectrum in respect of the said seven service areas in the auction held in November, 2012," the filing said.
In addition to the seven circles, the company got spectrum for Bihar circle also, which was unaffected by the Supreme Court order.
On October 14, 2013, Idea Cellular closed at Rs 184.95, up Rs 1.00, or 0.54 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 186.70 and the 52-week low was Rs 79.80.
The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 3.11 per share as per the quarter ended June 2013. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 59.47. The latest book value of the company is Rs 42.28 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 4.37.
