In power transmission and distribution business, the company secured orders, including one from Oman Electricity Transmission company. The project, which involves work like engineering, procurement and construction of grid stations, is to be completed in 20 months.

"L&T Construction has won new orders worth Rs 2,309 crore across various business segments," the company said in a filing with BSE. The transportation infrastructure business bagged orders for construction of greenfield airport's air side works in Kerala.
In power transmission and distribution business, the company secured orders, including one from Oman Electricity Transmission company. The project, which involves work like engineering, procurement and construction of grid stations, is to be completed in 20 months. In the buildings and factories segment, it has received order for construction of residential towers on design and build model.
In the heavy civil infrastructure category, it has secured a project from "Department of Atomic Energy for design, engineering and supply of thermonuclear reactor components for cooling water system, chilled water system and heat rejection system."
"Additional orders have also been received from various ongoing projects," the company added.

On November 07, 2013, Larsen and Toubro closed at Rs 956.00, down Rs 6.5, or 0.68 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 1138.33 and the 52-week low was Rs 678.10.
The company's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 50.16 per share as per the quarter ended September 2013. The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 19.06. The latest book value of the company is Rs 272.92 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company is 3.50.
