NTPC OFS a successful issue, says Tulsian

SP Tulsian of sptulsian.com, says that NTPC OFS has been a successful issue. However, it is interesting to note that till 3.15 pm OFS had received close to about 95 crore shares and inlast 15 minutes 40 crore odd shares were sold at an indicative price of Rs 146-146.50.

Below is the edited transcript of his interview to CNBC-TV18.

Q: Would you call NTPC offer for sale (OFS) successful?

A: Definitely this is a successful issue. However, it is interesting to note that till 3.15 pm OFS had received close to about 95 crore shares and inlast 15 minutes 40 crore odd shares were sold at an indicative price of Rs 146-146.50.   

It will be very interesting to see that who those allottees are or those who have really bid for those 40 crore shares at Rs 146 plus. I would have been happy to see the indicative price crossing Rs 147. Since it has come between Rs 145-146 one can still say that the offer for sale has been successful, but ultimately we will get to know the quality of the investors in next 3-4 days.
